Our Story
We were founded by a passionate mix of clinicians, industry professionals and tech experts who have decades of experience in radiology, teleradiology, pathology and remote reporting, who shared a common ambition to do things differently.

To improve the working lives of clinicians and support better diagnostic care for all.
Our Mission
Our mission is to disrupt the UK and global teleradiology and pathology markets by doing things differently. We provide a suite of services to support the NHS and other healthcare providers deliver cost-effective and highly efficient radiology and pathology reporting. Dr Struan Wilkie
medical Director
Struan is an NHS Consultant Radiologist, Unit Clinical Director and Clinical Lead for Radiology IT at NHS Grampian. He has experience running initiatives for regional/national sharing networks in Scotland.
Barry Clyde
Chief technology Officer
Barry is a founding member of Axon Medical. Barry comes from a technical healthcare IT background and has worked with the NHS for years supporting them in the delivery of remote radiology reporting.
Paul Cornell
General Manager
As a founding member & Executive Board member, Paul brings over a decades’ experience of imaging & teleradiology to the business. Paul has a passion for improving peoples access to quality healthcare and making their lives better. He also works as a Board Trustee for a radiology charity Worldwide Radiology, which helps to improve access to care in areas with limited resources.
Mak Patel
Chief Financial Officer
Mak has over 25 years of experience in accounting and auditing, as well as the service and manufacturing sectors. He was involved in the listing of a private property group on AIM, which included raising £450 million. Mak has also served as a director of a UK subsidiary of NYSE listed company and has worked for PwC.

Sanj has over 30 years’ experience in the IT industry and is an expert in the field of virtualization, with experience spanning across the Public, Private and Hybrid Cloud and Desktop space.
Sanj has been involved in large projects where he has designed and delivered complex Virtualisation and Cloud solutions to some of the leading organisations in the world and has Consulted in the UK, Europe, Middle East and the US.

Chief Information Officer
Chi-Chung has over 25 years of professional IT experience with a proven track record and a reputable background. During his career he has architected and delivered solutions for multiple healthcare providers and large corporate enterprises in different sectors. These transformation projects typically range to up to 40,000 end users. Chi-Chung is passionate about Information Governance and Data Protection.

Dr. Mo Khan
Clinical Director - Pathology
Mo is a Consultant Histopathologist specialising in breast, gastrointestinal and medical renal pathology. Mo has over eight years of experience in reporting surgical and cytology material at consultant level across all specialities working within both a district general hospital as well as a teaching hospital. Currently working for the largest NHS teaching hospital in the South West, which acts as a major screening and referral centre for the region. Mo is passionate about innovation and is a true advocate of the values that Axon Diagnostics believe in.
